Over 15,000 visitors attended the Festival of Transport in 2016 to experience the premier classic vehicle event of the August Bank Holiday weekend. Set in the grounds of the glorious Blenheim Palace, the Festival of Transport will for the first time include an Electric Vehicle Zone featuring a range of electric vehicle exhibitors, manufacturers, promoters and electric vehicle organisations.

Join us on 27 and 28 August for this ground-breaking, family -friendly event!

ADMISSION COST PER DAY

Public admission is the normal Blenheim Palace Park and formal gardens admission price, and tickets are only available to purchase on the day of the event at the venue.

Parking is free.

Public admission tickets are available to purchase on the day of the event at the venue. Tickets are charged per day and public admission is the normal Blenheim Palace Park and formal gardens admission price. There is an additional charge for the Palace. VEHICLE DISPLAYS – NEW CONTENT FOR 2017

We are delighted to return to Blenheim Palace for the Festival of Transport 2017; the premier classic vehicle event of the August Bank Holiday weekend. Over 15,000 visitors attended the event in 2016 and 2017 promises to be even better with even more vehicles on display along and new and exciting content planned.

The Festival of Transport 2017 is a classic car and motorcycle show featuring a blend of 400+ vintage, classic and modern classic vehicles on display each day. For the first time in 2017, the event will also feature the Electric Automobile Association’s (ElectrAA) powered by Ovo Energy Electric Vehicle Zone.

Electric Vehicle Movement (from 21.50)

The Future of Classic Cars (from 28.50)

The Electric Vehicle Zone features an exciting new selection of electric cars and motorcycles. Full electric, hybrid, bridging cars and classic cars converted to electric will be on display plus the latest production electric cars and bikes, most of which will be available for test drive.

Visitors can view a selection of electric vehicles and learn more about the latest electric vehicles in what promises be an exciting addition to the Festival of Transport 2017.

CONCOURS

There will be a full vehicle display arena and concours overseen by expert judges and leading MC Les Clayton.

Each participating exhibitor will receive a free commemorative plaque and full awards will be presented for the winners of each vehicle category.

TRADE, AUTOJUMBLE AND RETAIL

There will be 40+ trade, autojumble and retail stalls selling hard-to-find parts, spares, merchandise, tools, books and literature, toys and models and craft products.

FOOD AND DRINK

A wide selection of quality food and drink is available from a range of on-site catering facilities.

THE GROUNDS

Blenheim Palace is set in over 2,000 acres of beautiful Parkland landscaped by ‘Capability’ Brown, and is home to several Sites of Special Scientific Interest as well as an abundance of wildlife, historical monuments, ancient woodland and rural activity. Blenheim Palace is also the birth place of Sir Winston Churchill and home of the Duke of Marlborough.

Blenheim Palace is situated at Woodstock, 8 miles north of Oxford on the A44. From London and Birmingham it is signposted off the M40 at Junction 9. From Stratford follow the A3044 signs towards Oxford.

We have 300 free admission tickets per day for car exhibitors who book in advance of the event. Tickets are for one day only. This ticket allows entry for:

  • one classic car (aged 2002 / pre-2002) or if exhibiting on Monday: one classic car (aged 2002 / pre-2002) or a newer car. For cars newer than 2002, the ask is that vehicles must be interesting (eg. rare, unique, famous, high-profile). The organisers reserve final say in terms of any post-2002 cars.
  • two adults and two children (aged up to 16).

Any additional passengers will be charged at the full admission price.

Exhibitor passes are issued subject to exhibitors arriving at the event by 11.00am.

To take up this offer exhibitors must confirm their booking no later than Friday 18 August 2017.

We have 300 free admission tickets per day for car exhibitors who book in advance of the event. Tickets are for one day only. This ticket allows entry for:

  • one classic car (aged 2002 / pre-2002) or if exhibiting on Monday: one classic car (aged 2002 / pre-2002) or a newer car. For cars newer than 2002, the ask is that vehicles must be interesting (eg. rare, unique, famous, high-profile). The organisers reserve final say in terms of any post-2002 cars.
  • two adults and two children (aged up to 16).

Any additional passengers will be charged at the full admission price.

We appreciate that some clubs have members with newer models of cars – and so we will allow 1 in 4 cars to be of a post-2002 age and still qualify for the free club exhibitor pass.

MOTORCYCLE SEASON PASS

We offer a free motorcycle season pass. Produce your season pass at the gate on arrival and you will gain entry for free (maximum two per bike) when displaying a classic (2002 / pre-2002) motorcycle in the show – a substantial saving on the standard admission price.

Keep hold of your motorcycle season pass, it is a reusable pass that can be used throughout the 2017 season at most Classic Shows motorcycle shows (excludes the Manchester Bike Show at EventCity).

To guarantee receiving your motorcycle season pass in time for this event, orders should arrive to us no later than Friday 18 August 2017.

Pitches are 6x6m, outdoors on grass. Pitch allocation is first-come-first-served

We have plenty of outdoor pitches, so don’t expect to run out, but if you would like a particular pitch it’s best to arrive early as we do not reserve pitches.
