New for 2017 and set on the lawns in front of Harewood House, the Motor Show is a one day event featuring 750+ vintage, classic and modern classic vehicles on display and offers a content-packed day of motoring entertainment for the whole family.

VEHICLES ON DISPLAY

Please note that all exhibiting vehicles must book in advance of the event.

We have made 500 free vehicle exhibitor passes available to vehicle exhibitors booking in advance of the event. This includes over 200 club bookings already received from the likes of the Stag OC, the Italian replica Club, MG Car Club, MGOC, TVR Car Club, XROC, RSOC, the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club and the UK Cougar Club.

We have now exceeded the 500 display vehicle target we set ourselves for this first event. All our free tickets for enthusiasts have therefore been allocated but are we still inviting exhibitor entries at a heavily discounted cost of just £7.50 per vehicle, providing entry for up to 2 adults and 2 children (tickets must be booked in advance).

CONCOURS

There will be a judging arena, experienced commentator and expert judges for the concours competition. The arena will provide a focal point to the event and visitors are invited to locate around the arena and enjoy the judging throughout the day.

There will be an award ceremony and each participating owner will receive a complementary commemorative plaque.

TRADE, AUTOJUMBLE AND RETAIL

The Motor Show offers a range of trading and retail opportunities for every budget – see the Exhibitor Pack for more information.

We are delighted to confirm that a number of high profile dealers / manufacturers and traders have already confirmed their attendance at the Motor Show. We will release an exhibitor list in due course and are still welcoming bookings in all trading and exhibitor zones.

FOOD AND DRINK

A wide selection of quality food and drink is available from a range of on-site catering facilities.

THE GROUNDS

Harewood sits in the heart of Yorkshire and is one of the Treasure Houses of England. The House was built in the 18th century and has art collections to rival the finest in the land.

There are exhibitions of contemporary art, an award-winning educational department, renowned bird garden, farm experience and over 100 acres of exquisite gardens for visitors to explore and enjoy. Please note that visitors to the Motor Show benefit from free admission to the grounds and lower rooms of Harewood House. A small charge of £5 will apply for visitors who wish to obtain full access to Harewood House.

OTHER INFORMATION

Dogs welcome on leads. Dogs are not allowed in the house, bird garden, farm experience or the adventure playground, but the rest of the 100 acre site is yours to enjoy!

The village of Harewood is centrally placed in Yorkshire at the junction of the A61/A659 on the Leeds/Harrogate road.

DISCOUNTED ADVANCE BOOKING

Admission tickets are free for the first 500 car exhibitors who book in advance of the event. Thereafter, we offer a heavily discounted admission ticket at a charge of just £7.50 per classic car. These tickets admit:

  • one classic car (aged 2002 / pre-2002) or a newer car. For cars newer than 2002, the ask is that vehicles must be interesting (eg. rare, unique, famous, high-profile). The organisers reserve final say in terms of any post-2002 cars.
  • two adults and two children (aged up to 17).

Any additional passengers will be charged at the full admission price.

Exhibitor passes are are issued subject to exhibitors arriving at the event by 9.30am and remaining in place until 4.30pm.

To take up this offer vehicle owners must confirm their booking no later than 8pm Saturday 1st July 2017.

Please note that there is no ability for vehicle exhibitors to arrive on the day of the event and exhibit their vehicles. All vehicle exhibitors must therefore book in advance of the event in order to display their vehicle(s) in the Motor Show.

We appreciate that some clubs have members with newer models of cars – and so we will allow 1 in 4 cars to be of a post-2002 age and still qualify for the free / £7.50 club exhibitor pass.

To take up this offer vehicle owners must confirm their booking no later than 8pm Saturday 1st July 2017.

ON THE DAY TICKETS

Exhibitors are welcome to turn up on the day, pay the on the day admission price – £15.00 per adult / £7.50 per child (aged 4-17) / £7.50 per student / £40 per family (2 adults, 2 children) – and will then be directed into the event and located within the relevant vehicle display.

Please note that free / £7.50 tickets are not available on the day of the event.

PITCHES

We offer pitches in three different zones with a price to cater for all, from large businesses, manufacturers and dealers, down to just £30 for a basic 6x6m autojumble pitch. Pitches are outdoors and must be booked and paid for in advance.

All traders and autojumbles need to provide their public liability insurance details ahead of time to Classic Shows, or be able to show it on the day. No traders or autojumblers will be allowed entry to the show field without proof of public liability insurance.

Autojumble is classed as any item which can be screwed, welded, bolted or otherwise affixed to a classic car or bike, plus repair manuals and parts lists. All other items are classified as trade (such as tools and accessories, books and literature, brochures, toys and models).
