VEHICLE DISPLAYS

This is a new event for 2018 taking place at the superb Stonyhurst College in Clitheroe, Lancashire and replaces the previous Classic Shows’ event at Hoghton Tower.

There will be a variety of private vehicles displayed by age (pre-60s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s-03) and category (sports and convertibles, kit, custom and replica and American) plus a wide range of club stands. Our previous events at Hoghton Tower were well supported by the likes of Nutcrackers, Lancashire Capri Club, West Lancs MG Owners Club, Toyota Enthusiasts, Glossop Classic Car Club and the Midget and Sprite Club and we hope to see many private and club exhibitors on Sunday 12 August.

CONCOURS

There will be a full vehicle concours overseen by Ribble FM presenter and local personality Mark Stone.

All exhibiting vehicles will be included with the vehicle concours and judging process. Mark Stone has worked with Classic Shows for several years and provides a friendly, funny and interactive commentary service to engage visitors throughout the event. Mark will coordinate the concours and will be assisted by experienced judges with awards presented for a range of categories and culminating in the Car of the Show and Pride of Ownership categories.

Each participating vehicle exhibitor will also receive a complementary commemorative plaque.

TRADE, AUTOJUMBLE AND RETAIL

The event will also feature trade/autojumble stalls selling a range of hard-to-find parts, accessories, merchandise, tools, manuals, paints, signs, vintage items and clothing.

FOOD AND DRINK, TOILETS

Mobile food and drink facilities are available at the event selling breakfast rolls, burgers, hot dogs and hot and cold drinks.

Portable and permanent male, female and disabled toilet facilities are available.

THE GROUNDS AND VISITOR INFORMATION

The event is located at Stonyhurst College, a Grade II listed independent co-educational boarding school founded in 1593. Famous former pupils include author of Lord of the Rings JR Tolkien and author of Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Stonyhurst is the oldest Jesuit school in the world and visitors to the event are able to access a tour of the College and explore various chapels and historic rooms dating back to the 16th century.

OTHER INFORMATION – DOGS, CAR PARKING ETC

We are a very dog friendly organisation and dogs are allowed at the event. We kindly ask that visitors keep their dogs on leads at all times and use the on-site dustbins to dispose of any dog waste.
