A popular and much loved event which has now been running for over 20 years and features special vehicle themes on each day. Over 400 vehicles will be on display in front of the magnificent Capesthorne Hall and on the front lawns beside the Capesthorne lake.

On Sunday 26th May the Capesthorne Hall courtyard will feature an exclusive display of Jaguars from the Cheshire, Staffs & Wirral Jaguar Enthusiasts Club. On Monday 27th May the courtyard will feature a selection of Mercedes-Benz provided by the Cheshire Mercedes-Benz club.

We also welcome vintage, classic and modern classic vehicles and motorcycles. A stunning location to house a fantastic display of vehicles over two days.

Admission prices are per day.

OPENING TIMES

10am-4pm

VEHICLE DISPLAYS

Expect to see in the region of 400 vintage, classic and modern classic vehicles on display including an exclusive display of Jaguars on Sunday and Mercedes-Benz on Monday located in the courtyard outside the front of Capesthorne Hall.

In addition, there will be a variety of private vehicles displayed by age (pre-60s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s-04 and category (sports and convertibles, kit, custom and replica and American) plus a wide range of club stands and displays from the likes of Cheshire Classic Car Club, Jaguar Enthusiast Club (Cheshire, Staffs and Wirral regions), Mercedes-Benz Owners Club (Cheshire, N. Wales, Red Rose and N. Staffs regions), Stag Owners Club, MG Owners Club, XR Owners, Fords and Friends and the MR2 Drivers Club.

In the classic bike section, up to 100 vintage and classic motorcycles will be on display including the likes of BSA, Norton and Velocette.

CONCOURS

All exhibiting vehicles are automatically included in the vehicle concours which will be overseen by experienced vehicle commentator and Drystone Radio presenter, Mark Stone. Mark will be assisted by seasoned judges Peter Burke and Peter Fleming (Cheshire Classic Car Club) with awards presented for a range of categories and culminating in the Pride of Ownership, Club of the Show and Car of the Show awards.

The vehicle concours is located in the event arena and provides a much-loved central feature to the event. Mark will interview owners regarding their restoration projects and vehicle stories and provide interactive entertainment throughout the event.

Each participating vehicle exhibitor will receive a unique and complementary commemorative plaque.

TRADE, AUTOJUMBLE AND RETAIL

There will be a retail village featuring 40-50 trade and autojumble stalls selling a range of hard-to-find parts, merchandise, memorabilia, craft and vintage items.

MODERN VEHICLE DEALERSHIPS

New for 2019, the event will feature a selection of modern vehicle dealership and manufacturer exhibitors. Visitors can learn more about the latest models, technology and finance products from knowledgeable staff who will be on hand to answer queries.

FOOD AND DRINK, TOILETS

A wide selection of quality food and drink is available from a range of on-site catering facilities including a bar, confectionery and ice cream vendors. In addition, there is a permanent Courtyard café located within Capesthorne Hall.

Portable toilets will be located in the courtyard at the bottom of the events field and in addition, permanent toilets are also available inside Capesthorne Hall.

THE GROUNDS AND VISITOR INFORMATION

The event is located in the grounds of Capesthorne Hall, Congleton Road, Siddington, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 9JY – a listed, neo-classical and early 18th century property with Jacobean frontage.

The grounds, house and lake provide a breath-taking backdrop to a fantastic display of quality classic vehicles.

Visitors also have the opportunity to explore the superb formal gardens and grounds at no extra cost. For a small additional charge of £3.00 per adult, visitors can also avail of access to, and a tour of, Capesthorne Hall.

Capesthorne Hall is located off the A34 just past the Monk’s Heath cross roads where the A34 and A537 roads intersect. The venue is approximately 15 minutes from Alderley Edge and 15-20 minutes to Macclesfield.

OTHER INFORMATION – DOGS, CAR PARKING ETC

We are a very dog friendly organisation and dogs are allowed at the event. We kindly ask that visitors keep their dogs on leads at all times and use the on-site dustbins to dispose of any dog waste.

Visitor parking is free.

Capesthorne Hall is located on the A34 between Alderley Edge and Congleton just south of the Monks Heath cross roads, in the village of Sinnington.

We offer a heavily discounted admission ticket for car exhibitors who book in advance of the event. For a cost of just £4.50, the car exhibitor ticket allows entry for:

– one classic car (aged 2004 / pre-2004) or a car in one of the following themes: American / kit / custom / replica car
– up to two adults and two children (aged up to 14).

Any additional passengers will be charged at the full admission price.

To protect the integrity of the event, we aim to control the number of exhibiting vehicles which are newer that 2004. If you have a vehicle you would like to exhibit which is newer than 2004, we may still be able to issue an exhibitor ticket for just £4.50 but this is at the organiser’s discretion. In these circumstances please make your booking by phoning the office on 01484 667776 or emailing info@classicshows.org to avoid any unnecessary delays.

Passes are issued subject to exhibitors arriving at the event by 11.00am.

To take up this offer exhibitors must confirm their booking no later than 5pm on Friday 17 May 2019.

MOTORCYCLE SEASON PASS

We offer a free motorcycle season pass. Produce your season ticket at the gate on arrival and pay an admission fee of just £3 per person (maximum two per bike) when displaying a classic (2004 / pre-2004) motorcycle in the show – a substantial saving on the standard admission price.

WHY TRADE WITH CLASSIC SHOWS?

Classic Shows events offer an ideal opportunity to sell, or promote to, a large number of classic car and motorcycle enthusiasts including vehicle owners (exhibitors) and members of the general public (visitors). Common items for sale include hard-to-find parts, merchandise, memorabilia, manuals / books, signs, number plates, polishes and detailing items, vintage items and Americana.

In addition, the events also attract considerable family and day visitors providing further opportunities including craft items, gifts, photographs and posters, clothing and confectionery (fudge, cakes etc).

As Classic Shows events are located at some of the UK’s most prestigious country homes and venues, the events attract a strong ABC1 / professional / high disposable income demographic which in turn presents the perfect opportunity to achieve event profile or sales from a qualified audience.

TRADING PITCHES

Pitches are 6x6m (or multiples thereof), outdoors and are located on grass unless stated otherwise. Pitches are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

We have plenty of outdoor pitches, so don’t expect to run out, but if you would like a particular pitch it’s best to arrive early as we do not reserve outside pitches in advance (other than for Premium Trade – see below).

PREMIUM TRADE

Want to stand out from the crowd? Want to really push your sales? Then why not speak to the office about the exclusive premium trading opportunities offered at Classic Shows events?

At all events we have identified those trading locations which offer the highest footfall and / or greatest trading profile, for example those locations adjacent to the judging arena, catering village or on the end of a trade row. These locations are ideal for traders wishing to maximise the trading opportunity by promoting a new product launch, product placements or special offers.

Premium trade pitches start from 6x6m and multiple spaces are also available. Spaces are allocated and reserved in advance. A site map is available for each event identifying the premium trading locations – see the Booking Form section of the website for further details.

Trade and Autojumble prices are unchanged from 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Autojumble is classed as any item which can be screwed, welded, bolted or otherwise affixed to a classic car or bike, plus repair manuals and parts lists. All other items are classified as trade (such as tools and accessories, books and literature, brochures, toys and models).
